The AMLD5 directive stipulates that operators of cryptocurrency platforms must execute specific customer verification requirements under the terms of anti-money laundering law.

To fully comply with the directive, CryptoEdge, as Central Europe’s leading digital assets platform, began implementing all the required steps.

As one of Europe’s most compliant exchanges, this is another step in ensuring Virtuse’s maximum safety of users’ assets within the scope of a regulatory framework.

What does AML5 mean for you?

If you are already fully verified, you can use all of our services as usual without further action required from your side. You can check your verification status in Support Center

Virtuse’s know-your-client (KYC) process runs on the Sumsub’s verification engine, a market leader covering 220 countries and regions worldwide. Software screens documents for Photoshop traces, compare the person in the passport with a selfie, validates ID, and performs a background check. The overall process takes 3 to 5 minutes.

You can still use the platform without verification until October 31, 2020.  After this date, you will not be able to process withdrawals from the platform without passing full verification.

Kind regards,

Team CryptoEdge
